A white marble scroll-form cartouche inscribed Oliver Hill Architect, 43cm x 34cm. Oliver Hill (1887-1968) was initially influenced by Edwin Lutyens and designed several properties in the Arts & Crafts style. Later turning towards modernism during the Art Deco period and beyond, The Midland Hotel Morecambe and Joldwynds in Surrey are two of his celebrated designs.
