R Hampton, Warrington, a late-George-III mahogany long case clock, the signed arched brass dial with silvered and painted moon phase in the arch, inscribed "He Appointed the Moon for Seasons", silvered chapter ring, seconds and calendar subsidiaries, the four-pillar movement striking on a bell, with pendulum, no weights, the case with glazed pediment, metal-mounted pillars and reeded corners, on later bracket feet, 240cm high.
